Gramercy Tavern

Gramercy Tavern
Gramercy Tavern

An annual tradition of mine is to visit this restaurant the weekend following Thanksgiving with my friends from New York City.  When you enter this restaurant you immediately smell the wood fire.  The staff immediately welcomes you offering to take your coat and place it in the coat closet.  This is a popular restaurant in New York so I recommend you try what we do.  The tavern section of the restaurant doesn’t take reservations so we show up about 20 minutes before the restaurant opens.  We always find parking on the street although this year there is meters.  Get in line so you are seated on opening.  Then sit back, have one of the many unique cocktails and enjoy an incredible meal.

The atmosphere has you feeling as though you are in a quaint New England village yet you are right in the middle of Manhattan!  ENJOY!
