Hartford hit-and-run Video (click on this link)

A lead-in story on the news last night showed video of a 78 year old man hit by a vehicle in downtown Hartford, Connecticut.  The victim, a 78 year old man, was tossed like a ragdoll.  The first vehicle tapped him followed by a second vehicle who struck the victim catapulting him into the air.  Both motorists fled the scene in disgrace!  Additional vehicles drove AROUND the victim now lying in the street lifeless.  One even stopped for a few minutes then left as did the other cowards!

For what seems an eternity, fellow pedestrians on the sidewalk continued on their business ignoring the victim.  This morning 911 tapes released to the media told a story of a few people calling in the accident yet no one rendered any form of first aid.

How can people just walk by, continue their daily routine as if the event unfolding in front of them is merely a television show or movie. Have we as a society become so desensitized!  So many studies on the violence portrayed in media, is all this connected?

Have all our heroes been recruited and shipped to Iraq?  One has to wonder viewing this video – no heroes in Hartford!

The victim is now paralyzed in a hospital!
