Washington Mall, Inauguration of President Obama, 1-20-2009

How wonderful to look onto the Washington Mall and see a sea of people.

It’s a wonderful thing when we are united as one people one country even one world.  It’s often the case after a tragedy such as 9/11 or war.  But this time it’s due to the inauguration of a man, a leader an individual who has changed history forever.  These are wonderful times we live in we are living in history which will be reflected on for many many generations. 

Hopefully our new president will manage to put this positive energy to good use.  There are so many challenges or maybe opportunities ahead.  In years to come perhaps we will look back at how this man was able to lead our country to better times not just for a few privileged individuals, groups or classes but for all Americans. 

Often forgotten, the many good deeds, the bloodshed, this country offers for its global neighbors so they too can have better lives.  Perhaps in a few years we all will look back at how our country is recognized for its sacrifices for others.  Perhaps our new leadership will be able to steer a course to cast a positive shadow of this country on the global political sea.
